NANORADAR 24GHz MMW radar SP15 is a millimeter wave radar sensor with range up to 20 meters developed by Nanoradar. It has small size, high sensitivity, light weight, easy integration, cost-effective, stable performance, wide detection range, and has the functions of ranging, Angle measurement and velocity measurement. When the target enters the radar detection area, the radar will output target information. Observers can judge the exact location of the target through the target information displayed by the upper computer software, and the radar can effectively filter out false targets such as leaves and branches.

Application

The product uses serial communication, and can be widely used in smart home, smart street light, parking monitoring, ship position monitoring, regional intrusion prevention and other fields.

Features

  1. 24GHz-ISM band, high precision and resolution
  2. Low power consumption, small size, measuring distance of 20m
  3. Diversified interfaces: UART
  4. High integration, strong anti-interference, good stability
  5. Suitable for safety ranging and anti-collision, induction automatic control, etc

Package include:

1 x NANORADAR 24GHz MMW radar Short range wide Angle industrial radar SP15

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
