Winsen MED-2CO

The MED-2CO sensor operates on the principle of a fuel cell. It detects carbon monoxide (CO) by facilitating redox reactions between CO and oxygen (O2) at its working and counter electrodes, respectively. These electrochemical reactions liberate charge, resulting in a current flow. Crucially, this generated current exhibits a direct proportionality to the concentration of carbon monoxide present, a relationship governed by Faraday's law. Consequently, the concentration of CO in the surrounding environment can be accurately quantified by precisely measuring the output current. The MED-2CO sensor is characterized by several advantageous features, including low power consumption, high precision in its measurements, exceptional sensitivity to even trace amounts of CO, strong resistance to interference from other gases, and excellent repeatability and long-term stability in its performance.
