The Ubyte MLX90632SLD Medical Grade Non-Contact IR Thermometer Module is a compact infrared temperature sensing board designed around the Melexis MLX90632SLD-DCB-000-RE sensor. The sensor is factory calibrated for medical accuracy and supports non-contact object temperature measurement with ±0.2°C accuracy in the 35°C to 42°C range, making it suitable for body-temperature focused applications. The module provides an easy-to-use I²C interface and includes onboard 3.3V regulation, ESD protection, I²C level shifting, power indication, address selection, and a 2.54 mm header, allowing quick integration with both 3.3V and 5V MCU platforms.

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.

Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.

Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
