The TE Connectivity MEAS STATOR RTD (R-8205) is a high-precision temperature sensor engineered for continuous thermal monitoring in electric motors and generators. Known as a “stator stick,” this flat, laminated sensor is designed for insertion between stator windings, ensuring consistent and reliable temperature detection. Featuring a nickel RTD element with a resistance of 120 Ω (±0.5%) and a TCR of 0.00672, it offers accurate sensing in high-temperature environments up to 180 °C (Class H). Rear-exit design, epoxy glass body, and customizable dimensions make it ideal for industrial and OEM applications demanding durability, precision, and safety compliance. Note: Refer to datasheet in the ATTACHMENTS section for more info. regd. the product.

Features:

  1. Flat laminated “stator stick” construction for stator insertion
  2. Nickel RTD: 120 Ω at 0 °C with ±0.5% accuracy
  3. High temperature Class H rated – up to 180 °C
  4. Epoxy glass laminated body for enhanced durability
  5. Dielectric strength: 2,000 V RMS @ 60 Hz for 1 min
  6. Rear-exit leadwire design for simple installation
  7. Wide customization options: length, thickness, and width
  8. Compliant with ANSI C50.10-1990 motor standards

Package Includes:

1 x TE Connectivity MEAS STATOR RTD Temperature Sensor R-5156 RTD,

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
