This is Hexacopter Frame which employs 6 arms to get into the air. There are several advantages of a hexacopter frame over a quadcopter one, justifying the extra price tag.

For 6 arms, of course, there are more motors with a hexacopter meaning more power, meaning bigger batteries. This increase in batteries leads to an increase in flight time, which is also nice. Due to these extra motors, a hexacopter is also more stable than your quadcopter equivalent.

So, making the Quadcopter build fast and easy. So, it avoids the use of extra PDB(Power Distribution Board) and makes the mounting clean and neat. The S550 Hexacopter Frame is a highly flexible frame during the mounting of various components like flight controller, battery, etc.

The S550 hexacopter frame kit is an excellent strong lightweight Hexacopter frame with carbon fiber landing gear and a bonus built-in the printed circuit board (PCB) for neat and easy wiring. It comes with integrated PCB for neat and easy wiring. The added lift capacity of a hex configuration makes this frame for carrying larger payloads such as camera systems and other electronic components. This makes for an exceptional camera rig or simply a very agile and powerful multi-rotor frame for aerobatics.

It comes with pre-threaded brass sleeves for all of the frame bolts, so attaching the arms to the mainframe is done within few minutes.  Also, it requires one size of bolt for the overall build and thus a unique one-size hex wrench which makes hardware mounting very convenient.

The assembly of this frame is super simple with pre-threaded sleeves for all the frame bolts so no lock-nuts are required. The motor mounts are ready to take a selection of motors with mounting hole centers of 16, 19 and 25 mm once again making this a very universal frame at a very affordable price.

The frame has the wheelbase of 550mm and whole frame kit weighs around 760gm. It features mounting tabs at the front and rear end on the bottom plate of the mainframe for mounting cameras and other accessories.

Setup Guide

Charge the vehicle battery
Connect the vehicle battery to the included charger. Charge fully (typically 1–2 hours) before first run. Never leave charging unattended.

Install batteries in the transmitter
Open the transmitter battery compartment and insert AA batteries as indicated by the polarity markings.

Power on in the correct order
Turn ON the transmitter FIRST, then the vehicle. This prevents unexpected runaway movement.

Trim and calibrate
If the vehicle pulls left or right at rest, use the steering trim knob on the transmitter to centre it.

Start slowly
Begin with half-throttle to get a feel for the controls. Gradually increase speed as you become familiar with the handling.
