RAK12007 is an ultrasonic sensor module based on the CS100, an industrial-grade ultrasonic distance measurement chip. This chip integrates ultrasonic transmitter, ultrasonic receiver, and digital processing circuits. The distance measurement result output is in the form of pulse width. For an ultrasonic detector, there are two main parts: Emitter and Detector. The emitter transmits an ultrasonic sound wave, and the detector receives back the signal from the emitter reflected by an object. By calculating the travel time and the speed of sound, the distance of the object can be determined.

Features:

  1. Based on the CS100 industrial-grade ultrasonic chip
  2. Integrates ultrasonic transmitter, receiver, and digital processing
  3. Pulse width output for distance measurement
  4. Measures distance by calculating travel time of sound waves
  5. Compact and reliable for industrial and IoT applications
  6. Suitable for object detection, level sensing, and proximity measurement

Package Includes:

1 x RakWireless Ultrasonic Sensor ango Sense CS100 RAK12007

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
