Hi-Link HLK-LD1040, 10GHz Motion Detection Radar Sensor designed based on X-band radar chip with a center frequency of 10.525GHz. The module is designed with fixed frequency, directional transmission and The receiving antenna (1T1R) integrates intermediate frequency demodulation, signal amplification and digital processing functions, and has the capabilities of delay setting, adjustable sensing range and light intensity detection. The module has the advantages of strong anti-interference, small size, good suppression of clutter and high-order harmonics, high stability and consistency. The module has a short initialization time and a quick detection mode. It can be installed in the lamp. The test operation is simple and can effectively accelerate production testing. This module is mainly aimed at low-cost application areas. This product is suitable for embedded concealed installation, and is not affected by temperature/humidity, oil smoke, water mist, etc. It can be widely used in various lamps, such as bulbs, downlights, ceiling lamps, etc

Features:

  1. Based on the principle of Doppler radar
  2. This product is positioned for motion sensing scene applications

1 x Hi-Link HLK-LD1040, 10GHz Motion Detection Radar Sensor

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
