The Bosch BMM150 is a compact, low-power 3-axis digital geomagnetic sensor designed for precise compass and spatial orientation applications. With high-resolution magnetic sensing (0.3μT) and support for I²C and SPI interfaces, it seamlessly integrates with IMUs like the BMI055. Operating across -40°C to +85°C, it offers low power consumption and high accuracy, making it ideal for drones, robotics, and navigation systems requiring reliable heading and motion data. Note: Refer to datasheet in the ATTACHMENTS section for more info. regd. the product.

Features:

  1. Compact WLCSP package: 1.56×1.56×0.6 mm³
  2. Digital interfaces: I²C and SPI with 2 interrupt pins
  3. Sensor fusion support for accurate orientation
  4. High magnetic range: ±1300μT (x/y), ±2500μT (z)
  5. Magnetic threshold and new data interrupts
  6. Compatible with Bosch BMI055 IMU

Package Includes:

1 x BOSCH BMM150 Geomagnetic Sensor

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
