The Adafruit Qwiic / Stemma QT 5 Port Hub is a practical solution for expanding your I2C bus connections. This passive hub features five vertical JST SH 1mm connectors, all linked with power, ground, and SDA/SCL pins, allowing you to easily connect multiple Qwiic or Stemma QT devices. It simplifies I2C setup by creating a star configuration, which helps reduce line capacitance and improve overall performance. The hub also includes breadboard breakout pins for easy prototyping and mounting holes for secure integration into your projects. With a power LED to indicate connectivity, this hub provides an efficient and tidy way to connect several I2C devices without requiring any soldering.

Features:

  1. 5 I2C Ports: 5 vertical JST SH 1mm connectors for connecting multiple I2C devices.
  2. Star Formation: Reduces I2C line capacitance by allowing a star connection instead of a long chain.
  3. Breadboard Breakout Pins: Includes pins for easy breadboarding.
  4. Power LED: Indicates connectivity status.
  5. Passive Hub: Simple mechanical assistant for connecting multiple QT/Qwiic boards.
  6. No Soldering Required: Plug-and-play, with optional header pins for breadboarding.
  7. Mounting Holes: Allows easy integration into systems.

Package Includes:

1 x  Adafruit Qwiic / Stemma QT 5 Port Hub

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
